Solve : Saving cookies?

Answer»

Hi all,

I have an e machine with XP. I am wondering if there is a way to PERMANENTLY save the cookies for the sites that I have saved in my Internet Options as TRUSTED sites?
If I want to delete my browsing history it also deletes the cookies from the temporary internet files. I did look in FAQs but could not find it anywhere.

Thanks,
Mark

What browser?I mainly use Firefox but I also use IE occassionally. On firefox, you can go to Tools --> Options --> PRIVACY and have a look there.

What version of IE are you using and how are you clearing your Browsing History? In Firefox/tools/options/privacy/cookies/exceptions/ they give you a choice to allow cookie for this session only or always allow cookie. That does not seem like it will save
the cookies if I run CCleaner of clear history though.

IE is 7.0 I believe. When I clear history on IE I usually go to tools/delete browser history. But again if I run CCleaner is there a way to save certain cookies?

Thanks for your time and help.Did you uncheck cookies in CCleaner?

I'm not SURE about IE but there should be something like exceptions or something similar.OK thanks... I'll do a little more research and let you know what I find out.
