Shall I post the links for a format to help him with the reinstall or shall we wait to hear from him? -- GokuI would think a System Restore in Safe Mode may restore your computer, Rob. Shall I post the links for a format to help him with the reinstall or shall we wait to hear from him? I'd wait until carbon GETS through. Too many competing ideas and instructions can overwhelm an OP and cause mistakes and problems.well i tried to manually install the ntbackup but it says the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation. i also did the ckdsk which TOOK forever but it just went right back to the windows restart.
