Answer» I guess that new lamp I have for my £800 LCD Sony bravia 40" t.v should not be put in with a butter knife and some packing tape then??Most LCD monitors have an AC inverter to power the backlight in the back of the monitor, this is where the risk is since it usually has to be removed to get the screen out and replace a backlight.
