Answer» My 3 year old Dell Insipiron E1505 laptop was working fine for hours until the screen IMAGES suddenly TURNED upside down (on the upper half of the screen -- the lower half was solid blue)and began rapidly scrolling sideways. After making SEVERAL attempts to get it to stop, I turned the power off. I popped the battery, even though I had not been using the battery to power it (it had been plugged into a Dell surge protector) and put it back in. After letting it sit for a while, I turned it back on and it started up normally, with one exception -- the screen image was upside down and backwards. After powering it on and off several times, the problem persists. How do I correct this?Try this....

Did not work.sounds like a hardware issue with the laptop screen or graphics circuitry.Check the graphics adapter drivers. You can usually get the original ones from the manufacturer's website. They may also have a hardware diagnostic program you can use to check that it is working properly. Another possible solution is to use windows system restore to restore it to a date you knew it was working/i faced this problem for almost the whole day.i somehow manage to get my comp screen normal to back.i went to a lot of websites and most of the websites suggest- 'ctrl+alt+arrow key' -which did not work for me.i than come across a website that suggest to look for rotation option under control panel-which i did not manage to find.
Finally i cme across the solution to my problem at one of those sites-right click on desktop, choose navdia option(im using ATI CATALYST ) and adjust the rotation drop down box(choose 180 DEG.).
my prob finally solverd-but im having headace due to looking at the screen upside down!but i'm still glad my prob is finally sloved!!
