Solve : Screen says "Going to Off mode" as soon as I boot up..?

1.	Solve : Screen says "Going to Off mode" as soon as I boot up..?
Answer» Can someone please tell me what I can do to fix this? I asked my FRIEND and she said I probably need a new video card, but to fix that would I lose everything stored on my computer? When I boot up my computer a BLUE square comes up saying "Off mode in 5 sec" then turns off. First try the monitor on another machine and see if it does the same thing...it may be the monitor. Re-check all your settings in Control Panel/Power Management as WELL.Thanks, but I have an older monitor that I tried as well and it does the same thing> I can't get on to my computer to change any settings Try booting in safemode...to do this keep tapping F8 on startup and before you see the Windows SPLASH screen.Thanks!
