Just recently my screensaver is freezing when I try to restore my desktop. Eventually the cursor comes back but moves very erratic. I TRIED leaving it sit for awhile but never seems to recover. My only recourse is to REBOOT. Any suggestions would be greatly APPRECIATED.

     Actually nothing happened before it started doing this. At one point it got better, but now it`s back too freezing and not coming back.How old is the PC?
And does it have any other problems?
What protection do you have?Try it with only one vid card and see what happens...

Are you using a standard Windows screensaver or something you downloaded?

Have changed screensaver to see whether it makes any difference?  What power management settings (monitor off, standby, etc.), if any, are you using?

Why anyone with computer smarts would use a screensaver anymore is beyond me, talk about a waste of resources.....
