Answer» Hi, hope someone can help me...
Since at some point strangely, when I take a screenshot, paste in MS PAINT, save as "such file" (no problem up to here), then open that file and it's too small - only a quarter of space in Picture and Fax Viewer. It never used to HAPPEN in the last few years and dosens of screenshots, I'm totally confused no idea what's causing it.
A few weeks ago I saved several pictures after resizing to 50%, wondered if something in PC remembers that setting - but before pasting ss I check MS paint setting and everything is normal/100%.
I use: Window XP pro, SP3
Any advice appreciated... thanks much in advance. For XP http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspx
Use irfanview: http://www.irfanview.com/ ( free download )
mail to yourself. Xp will change size automatically
From Paint Help:
"To change the size of your picture On the Image menu, click Attributes. Under Units, click the unit of measurement you WANT to use for the width and height. Type the measurements in Width and Height. Notes
You can also resize your picture by dragging the image resize handles, located at the lower-right corner and along the bottom and right sides of your picture. (You might need to maximize the window to see the square resize handles.) If your current picture is bigger than the new size, the picture is cut from the right side and bottom to fit within the SMALLER area. If your current picture is smaller than the new size, the extra area is FILLED with the selected background color. Haven't checked Attributes before.
They were like w:1500+ h:1150+ I clicked Default and the numbers changed to w:800 and h:600 That seems solved my problem. I can see screenshots in proper size now. And yes, mailing to myself delivered the proper size even before above...
Thanks a lot for your help
