Solve : scrolling problems?

Answer»

I have a Dell 8200 and have recently f6'd everything from it to START from fresh. Everything works great and REINSTALLED w/no problems, except one. I use a Logitec wireless mouse and when I use the scroll button it jumps in lines instead of smooth scrolling. I checked all the options I could find and they are marked for smooth scrolling. Anybody got any other ideas?batteries good? I used a wireless before and it jumped around so I went back to the regular mouse. no more problems. Does your mouse come with any drivers?Ok, here is what I have done. I tried to update the driver for the cordless mouse, found I was using up to date, replaced batteries, made jerky lines move faster.
I enabled the smooth scroll button, made lines more spread out and faster.
I hooked up and removed after trial, a corded mouse only to have the same situation as with the cordless.
Cordless back on.
Thanks for the replies. Could I be looking at a video problem?right click desktop/properties/performance tab. reduce hardware accelleration. Thanks NEIL, puppie, and 2K dummy for the replies.
When I went in device MANAGER to update the driver for the mouse, I didn't see any monitor showing.
So I went to Dell and downloaded the new driver for the monitor and it seems to solve that problem.
Smoooooooooooooth scrolling ahead for me and others if this helps someone else too.
This is a great site and you all are great for helping and I am sure I will have more questions in the future.
