Solve : seekeyboard problems?

Answer»

I was trying out a new wireless keyboard and laser mouse from Microsoft and decided I needed to have a wired mouse for faster response time as I am a graphic artist. I (stupidly) just unplugged the receiver and then PLUGGED in my old MS Natural keyboard. I thought a reboot WOULD make it pick it up- wrong! Now I am stuck at the blue welcome to HP screen and it won't go any further. I can't do a run in safe mode or a system restore because it won't recognize the keyboard (even though the old one flashes on startup). I have tried rebooting several times, unplugged the entire system and tried to restart. So far nothing has worked. HELP! Any suggestions?
Perhaps it was disabled in the BIOS? Check there first WITH the PS/2 keyboard.I got help from HP support and it may have been a problem with EITHER the hard drive or a LOOSE connection on the power source. As of right now, it is working with a USB keyboard so hopefully we got it fixed. Thanks for the help though. Great site, I will be back.
