Solve : Setting Domain group rights locally on a PC?

Answer»

Hi,
We have loads of users who log there PCs onto domain A.

I have been given the following task: -

add the A/Backup Operators GROUP rights locally on each PC on the premises, set the rights to maximum access.

Can anyone tell me how to do this, please?

Thanks Who's computer is this?

Yes. Each user logs on to the server under their own user account on there own PC.What exactly do you want to do?Do you want to grant the domain group:

A\Backup Operators

local admin rights on the PCs?

Do this:

In 2000, XP, and Vista:

Start -> CONTROL Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Local Users and Groups -> Groups -> Double-click "Administrators" -> Add -> type in A\Backup Operators -> click OK -> Close Computer Management and everything else -> restart computer.

Rinse and repeat for the other PCs as appropriate.
