Having got Family Tree Maker 2014 on my Windows 10 laptop I thought I would install it on my Windows 7 back up computer, which already had Family Tree Maker 2009 on it.
It would start to install then setup vanishes.

I thought that perhaps the older version was stopping it so uninstalled Family Tree Make 2009. This did not work and had the same result. So I tried to reinstall Family Tree Maker 2009 and it comes up with "Setup.exe has stopped working"

I tried in SAFE mode, same result.

Any helpful suggestions how to get Family Tree Maker 2014 to install please?Family Tree Maker 2014 is NOT freeware. Read the EULA that came with the product. To use it on two computers, you need two licenses, unless the EULA says otherwise. The retail price is given as $39.95 and that means the parent company considers it a commercial product, not a free thing.

I know Family Tree Maker 2009 COULD be used on more than one computer and thought 2014 version the same. Obviously I was wrong. (Not free though, I purchased it)How exactly did you remove the old version ? ?
