Cannot install programs on Win 2000 prof SP4.

Setup.exe can be seen in Windows TASK Manager PROCESSES window but is using no CPU time & does not run.

Totally baffled any help appreciatedIs this with all programs or just one. are you running it from C.D or HD. has this problem just occured. did you change anything before the problem,Are you the admin..Tried to install Visual FoxPro 8 from CD but it failed to install SOAP which is required before FoxPro is installed. Then copied disk to hard drive but had same problem.

Rebooted and then found Winfax had stopped receiving and MESSAGE manager would not open properly & froze. Rebooted again but still the same so tried to reinstall from CD which is when setup.exe failed.
