Solve : show windows 7 build number for all users?? |
|
Answer» When I go to HKCU\ControlPanel\Desktop and change PaintDesktopVersion to 1 it shows build number only to one user. You need to edit the default user hive. Set explorer to show hidden and PROTECTED operating system files. Open regedit and highlight HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Click File, Load Hive... and browse to C:\Users\Default User\NTUSER.DAT. GIVE it a name. Now go to this new area that you named under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and edit <name you gave it>\Control Panel\Desktop. Then simply highlight the loaded hive and click file, unload hive. That aint the only forum http://www.google.co.uk/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-GB%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=789&q=When+I+go+to+HKCU\ControlPanel\Desktop+and+change+PaintDesktopVersion+to+1+it+shows+build+number+only+to+one+user.+But+I+want+to+it+show+that+to+all+users+and+when+I+create+new+user.++How+to+do+that+think%3F+&btnG=Google+Search I have worked out a way of doing what he asks, but I am concerned because "registry tweak to show build number" COULD be a disguise or cover for "my malicious registry entry" and would be kind of not what we are here for. All their posts are copied and pasted from other forums, most of them have been answered. I think its a troll with OCDs'. The authorities have been notified.so this person is just a post hunter just looking for something to post because it's a popular topic and google's unfriendly to him?No... He's just someone with way too much free time on his hands... It happens. |
