Answer» i am unable to shutdown my computer. when i go to start the shutdown button is no longer there. i cannot shutdown from ctrl+alt+del
the only way i can shutdown is by logging of a shutting down from there.
i think it has something to do with regedit im not sure.
also at first the ctrl+alt+del had been disable i enabled that.
i am running win xp sp2.

also i can't do alt+f4Did you MAKE a change to your registry USING regedit? Can you use System Restore to go back to a restore point prior to the registry change? Alternatively, did you backup your registry before making a change and can you import that backup back into your registry as a way of restoring it?i was so WORRIED i forgot to perform a basic TASK, SYSYTEM resore.
