Another quick question - or should I ask it someplace else?  I have Norton on my computer, but is it necessary with all the things MICROSOFT already has in place and if so, what all do I need of Norton's products?  Or is there a better program for the money?
In my opinion, Norton is COMPLETE rubbish.  I would remove Norton completely (if you have Norton Ghost, you will need to reinstall it) and replace it with a free program such as Avast! or AVG (USE only one!).  Not only are these programs free, they also provide much better protection.OK, great - does Norton need to be removed prior to installing one of the other programs?  And do they FILTER out spam, etc as well?  I am not at all happy with Norton. You don't have to remove Norton first, but I would suggest doing so.  I don't believe these other programs have spam filters (I don't use the e-mail features, so I'm not 100% sure), but you could use a program such as Spamihilator.
