Answer» My last hard drive only last less than 3 yrs and I was just wondering if shutting down the hard drive during periods of inactivity WOULD add more LIFE to my new hd.Yes you would extend the life of hard drive. You would also save alot of battery power DEPENDING the size of the hard drive. Just don't be too complusive about always having to shut it down. |
