I have seen this TRICK with WIN XP but I don't know how to do it..it is to shut down your computer correctly but by pressing the startup button on your case(the same one starts the computer)..the shut down PROCEDURE is similar to the normal "healthy" way through which the PC goes off on XP..

To CHANGE the function in Windows XP Home Edition, go to 'Control PANEL' / 'Power Options' (In category view, go to 'Control Panel' / 'Performance and Maintenance' / 'Power Options').
