Solve : sideways screen can't fix?

Having trouble with XP.  Friend may have introduced virus via USB drive.  Every time i start up the SCREEN and also the mouse WORK as if you turned everything ninety DEGREES to the right (so i'm tilting my head to the right to view the screen and also to use the mousepad).

System restore worked once but it has since reverted.  Trying to change something and use system restore again has failed as the message comes up that "nothing has CHANGED" when indeed something terrible has changed........PLEASE HELP!!Do these steps have any effect:

1. Right click on your Desktop
2. Settings tab
3. Advanced button
4. Turn Angle tab
5. Click on Default settings

Additional:

Scan for the following threats:

  • Viruses
  • Spyware
  • Trojan Horses
type dxdiag in the run box..it should report if its a graphics problem........more INFO on system......Report your Video card make and chip.

ATI software can actually tilt your view screen 90% etc.
Perhaps looking into your VGA chip software settings instead.
