Solve : Simple CD Bootdisk?

Answer»

In this NEW era of computing I have noticed a trend towards foregoing floppy diskdrives due to there SPACE inefficiency and what not.  I understand they are dinosaurs, but I loved being ABLE to pop in a simple disk with all my fdisk/dos utilities for bootups at one click of the disk.  I was wondering if someone had a simple bootdisk or windows98 bootdisk in a cd rom format that I COULD easily use to help recover my fallen system (obviously a cdrom driver would be needed in this scenario).

Mainly just need all the basics for booting a formatted machine up: autoexec etc. Hopefully I can find a usable substitute for the tried and true floppy diskette.

ThanksYou know, if you want to recover your files from a broken Operating System, you can try a portable Linux. If your interested --> http://www.pendrivelinux.com/

As for you original question, are you trying to repair your OS? or do you just want to recover the data?I use The Ultimate Boot CD....

Here Ya Go...

Careful there are some pretty powerful Utilities on there. Thanks a lot patio, there's everything I wanted and a lot more. You're more than Welcome...post back when some of those dangerous utilities have gotten you past the point of no return... so i am STILL trying to clean my hard drive, wont this work if i burn the windows version to a bootable disc?                                  (utility)UBCD4Win is pretty useful as well, if anyone is looking for a Windows interface.
It includes much the same functionality of the original UBCD.
However, it is slightly more complicated to build.
