Answer» I run Windows XP and would like to know if a setting can be changed to allow me to return straight to my user page/desktop eveytime I boot the computer up. I went to the START menu and turned off the welcome page but it still asks for a sign in. Is there a way to go straight to your personal desktop?Start - run - type control userpasswords2 and hit enter. Uncheck the box. Hope this helps.Go to Start --> Run and type control userpasswords2 In the list of users, click on the account you WANT to automatically log on. Make sure you Uncheck 'Users must enter a name and password to use this computer'. Click Apply Provide any password it asks for. If you have no password SET, simply leave it blank. Done.
