good day, my windows xp desktop settings, i just want to ask if how to hide/remove the SHADOWS in the font of the icons on my desktop? its have an blue shadows.. i want it remove but i can find the settings... hope you help me...Go to Control Panel --> System --> Advanced --> Settings (under performance) and tick "use drop shadows for icons on desktop".
Then click Apply and OK out of the boxes.
Hope this helps.i already try it but it never HAPPEN..That's the only place you can enable/disable it, are you sure it's ticked and that you applied the setting?i already ticked it and apply but noting change...there's other settings in this?

Follow the same STEPS Calum has given you.  But this TIME, instead of checking/unchecking anything, try clicking on Let Windows choose what's best for my computer and click OK.  If that doesn't work, try Adjust for best appearance instead.  Do either of these MAKE any difference?its ok.. i got it... thank you so much CBMatt also Calum...Well, I'm glad you managed to get it sorted out.Same here, stop by any time.
