IM having problem in skype installation. My OS is XP sp2. When i install the latest skype VERSION,there was error giving "error while creat directory c:\document and settings\owner\send to". My user account is owner and its a computer administrator.I ask about it in chat group and they told me to install skype as administrator account in SAFE mode with networking but there was an error "error code 1601" and details is "windows installer service could not be accessed contact your support personnel to verify that the windows installer service is properly registered. I TRIED to install in another XP computer and its OK.pls help me how to solve that problem. Check to see that the Installer Service is running.

1. Go into start Menu, *Right Click on "My Computer" then select Manage.

2. When Computer Manager starts, in the middle left, you should see at the bottom of the list.
"Services"

3. If you select that you should see a LARGE list appear in the screen on the right.

4. Look for Windows Installer Service.

5. Make sure it is running.
