I am trying to LEGALLY download a game from online, i say legally as i dont WANT you to think im downloading dodgy files. My problem is, ive checked my broadband and im getting good results with every test, ive phoned my supplier up and gotten good results but when i try and download ANYTHING im downloading at 20-50 kb/s. I was wondering if this is a fault with my computer? I am connected through wired connection so it isnt wireless problem. How can i clear anything that might be slowing this down?If the ISP says your speeds are up to snuff chances are the slowdown is on the game server's end...It isnt just that, ive tested it downloading other games, and other files, but its all the same, im reaching a max of 50kb/s and down to 0.1 kb/s with anything i try and download. Your neighbors may be stealing your bandwidth...Do you have access to another computer that you can use in your environment (perhaps a friend's or neighbor's) just to ensure that it is not isolated to just your computer?truenorth Patio it is indeed wireless but it is password protected and i change the password regularly, truenorth, i have tested it on my brothers laptop, wireless and wired, he also gets terrible speeds.
