Am using IE 7.0.5730.11 on Windows XP PRO SP2 laptop.

In the last week or two it has become incredibly slow and sluggish starting new windows/tabs or closing the same.

Any suggestions to fix ??

Have just downloaded so we'll see how chirpy I am in a few minutes. If the PROBLEM continues, it MAY be a problem with a virus, adware, spyware, or some sort of disk error.

In that case, please PROVIDE the following information:
What antivirus scanner do you have?
What sort of adware/spyware scanner do you have?
When was the last time you ran those on your computer? When were they last updated? (The last time you did an actual scan)

Have you seen any blue screen of death errors recently?

Once we accomplish these questions, if they fail, we will move ONTO the possibility of a disk error, and we will cover the steps of scandisk...
