Solve : Small Network Problem?

Very puzzling.  What INTERNET security software, besides the XP firewall, is installed on the XP machine?I have it working.

As soon as I saw the last post from Rob I realized where the problem was.  I had been concentrating on the Microsoft side of THINGS.  

The XP PC also has Mcafee loaded and it was the Mcafee firewall that was stopping the communication between the PC's.

I went in and 'allowed' the ME IP address on the Mcafee firewall and it works fine.

...D-One is an XP machine ... I tried disabling the Firewall on D-One but this didn't make any difference...

Hmmm i guess i should have asked if you DISABLED both the Windows XP firewall and the McAfee firewall?
And yet another reason why no one should be running two software firewalls simultaneously.
