Answer» Hi,
I can't seem to find a REMOTE desktop ICON in accesories-> communications. It's not anywhere in my start menu.
I have used it before in the past to connect to dedicated servers, so I'm not sure what's going on.
Does anyone have any ideas? I do have logmein ( www.logmein.com ) installed.
Thanks for any and all help!
God Bless
Currently I am able to access it by going to run and running mstsc, but I would like a fix to this :[That's very strange. I don't have it in Communications either
Except I have it in Accessories instead and it's called Remote Desktop Connection. I don't think you overlooked something, but I just want you to make sure.I checked, not there.
The reason I was sure is I have launchy installed, which has all my shortcuts indexed - couldn't find it using that either.I'm not sure if this will work but you COULD try this: GO to Start and then Run and type in sfc /scannow Have your windows CD handy as it will ask for it.Remote Desktop Connection: %SystemRoot%\system32\mstsc.exe

I was able to manually make a shortcut this way, thanks!
