Answer» Hi i went into my laptop RIGHT clicked on my screen and tried to change properties. i hit something i dont KNOW what and know my whole screen is black. I can see all the icons just no writing whatsoever. no back ground picture nothing. i need to sort this how do i do it? Someone please help Can you post some specs, like which Windows you're running, etc.? Can you see your TASKBAR? Can you click on things?im running windows XP and i can click on things i just cant see what im clicking on. i can see icons and if i move my mouse over where the writing should be i get the other pop up MENUS. I just can't see any writing. The screen is completely black apart from webpage and iconssystem restore, just restore back to the day before this happened. you might have to do it from safe MODE. restart your computer and tap the f8 key and choose safe mode, then go to system restore, and click restore my computer to a previous point and choose the day to restore to.
