Solve : Something wrong with my codecs?

Answer»

Okay, I have no KNOWLEDGE about codecs, just that all I really need to watch what I want is xvid and divx. Now when I watch some video files (I'm not sure, but I think they're xvid ONES), the colours SEEM to be inverted, and I have no idea what the problem is. This has only happened to some files, but its really annoying. Anyone know whats going on?Try playing them in a program such as WinDVD?Go to this WEB site for a group of codecs xvid ,divx, avi

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Codec_Pack_All_in_1.htm

or if its xp you are using

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/XP_Codec_Pack.htmOkay, its worse now. Whenever I try to play a video file Explorer gets an error and it restarts (the computer doesn't restart, just Explorer, all other programs keep going). I've uninstalled XP Codec Pack but All in 1 doesn't come with an uninstaller...The files......are they via a dvd/cdrom disk.......or via the net.........Which program/s are used! They're downloaded xvids (from torrents). Never had a problem with them before. I'm using Winamp 5.093.
