Answer» The computer I am using is running a C-Media AC97 onboard sound card. Whenever any sound is played I get a strange echo as if i was using SPEAKERS and a microphone spaced apart just right so there is no feedback but I get a fading echo from any sound played. This happens on both my speakers and headphones but I do not have a microphone.Check to see if you have SPECIAL EFFECTS turned on. Go into control panel and see what options are available for your sound card. ALSO, sometimes Windows Media Player will try to STEAL media from another player and then both are playing the same piece.
