Answer» I have a WinXP computer, with Sigma Tel-C Major Audio for my sound card. Every so often, the volume goes to 0, even when I know I had SET it to the maximum. And this happens with the volume control box that you get when you double click on the volume icon in the status bar. Its the WAV level in the volume control bar that goes to zero, all other controls are the same. Why does this happen, when I dont modify the volume setting Start with reinstalling sound driver.The sound works well right now, it just goes to zero every so often. So you think maybe the sound driver is corrupted or messed up? Worth to TRY.i tried it, but I WONT know if its fixed the problem, because there is no CERTAIN time when the sound goes to zero. is there anything else i can try? Wait, and see...
