I have installed service pack 1 form my Vista 32bit and now get an annoying pop up evertime i start my computer, It tells me that i have to REINSTALL sound MAX even though i don't use it. (I have an XFI sound card in my computer) How do i get rid of this annoying pop up. my mainboard is: Asus Crosshair. Thanks!Well, since the PROBLEM only occurs when you start your computer, I believe the easiest solution would be refraining from starting your computer. I mean, really, who actually needs their computer to be TURNED on?

What sound card do you have?Crafty it sounds as if the Vista drivers for that card are poorly written...i agree with Broni...what card is it ?I fixed it, I just went into msconfig and unchecked the soundmax application. Thanks!

You're Welcome...but it sounds more like a Band-Aid than a fix...you may run into issues with sound down the road.
