Solve : Stand By Mode? |

Answer» I have a brand new Compaq computer running Windows XP with 512MB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive, AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500, Spy wear, Spam Blocker, etc and AT&T DSL 1.5 MB. I can not get the computer to enter the stand by mode either manually or using a screen saver and time settings; the screen goes off momentarily then TURNS back on and the computer never stands by. The Best Buy store where I bought it and had them install the SOFTWEAR and SET it up says 50% of computers are INCOMPATIBLE with the Stand By mode so not to worry. Is this true!?!? Help.I have a hp I went to their site and searched for my product # and was surprised all the UPDATED and firmware for my computer... 2 major one's 1 video 1 sound... you may start your searching here... |
