Answer» Hello. My name is Dean. I have created a partition for Win7 OS "C:", and another partition for all my data "D:". I added a shortcut to "D:" in the start menu (in my personal folder). When I go to my personal folder the link is there but the submenus don't slide out like the local FILES on C: Can anyone advise me how I can have the submenus slide out on the start menu when the files and folders are in another partition?
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate - 32 Bit
Thankyou.I don't know that you can. After much reading it seems that there is no user friendly way to add libraries to the right-pane !!!
I have worked out how to do it (cheating).
I renamed the video library to "Data". Start > Right click on the name > Rename.
I then removed the video files and placed my links in the library Start > Right click on the name > Properties > Include a folder... (Browse for and selected the links) > Optimise this library for: General Items > OK
I can now navigate gracefully through the contents of my "data" partition.
I hope this helps anyone with a similar challenge!
BTW, I did try to "include a folder in my personal library but when I right CLICKED it there was no properties option!
