I get two messages.  One says cannot load the locally STORED profile.... there is a counter of to the side and an ok button.  the next one says cannot find the locally stored profile and then something about each time I LOG off I will lose all changes made.  
I can get xp to finish loading, BUT it is not my original settings.  I freaked at first b/c I thought i lost all my pics and music.  I searched for them and they are STILL there, but i am logged on as a TEMPORARY profile.  what ever that means.  
see last week my powersupply WENT out and then my friend replaced it with one that did not have enough wattage.  i have since gotten one that is good and so my pc was acting up, i did safemode, and booted withe the disc.  
nothing will get me back where i was.  i even tried restoring to a date when the pc was fine, it didn't work.  can someone PLEASE help?http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=811151can i log in as an admin.  even if the the message box i get when i first log on says that this is a temporary file and all changes will be lost when i log off.  i really just want to reset my last known settings.  is there an easier way to do this?Did you even bother to try as the link suggested?
