Solve : Starting a little used program ...? |
|
Answer» ..... that has been disabled in the start-up menu to reduce start-up time. What are you using to dis-able startup apps ? ? Ah Just re-read my question, sorry but I have got it wrong what I meant to ask was "How do I disable little used applications in the start menu to reduce start-up time, then find them again to use when required" Only two things gained by hurrying "Bust fingers and b**t**d baby's" Sorry about that and as you have no DOUBT gathered I am a non-techy type DOWNLOAD and run Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel. Uncheck any items you don't want starting with the system. You can always re-enable them in the future if you like. And my post above tells you where to find the programs.Get it here: http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml.You can manage startup programs with ccleaner. Instructions here on how to get it working. Adobe Photoshop Magix Movie EDIT Pro 15 Skpe Twinhan etc etcHave you looked at settings in the Preferences of the various programs? For example, I have Yahoo Messenger installed but don't use it often. Be default, it will start when the computer is STARTED. But, that can be changed, i.e. to not start when the computer is started, in the settings in Yahoo Messenger. |
