Answer» computer will not startup. get message "mfg jumper installed keyboard fuse has failed"
when i try to start it in same mode it just beeps...
anyone know what is wrong?Hi, had exactly the same problem after my computer froze (from unknown reason: Dell dimension 2400 , XP-home), only way to get out was power down the hard way.
Tried without / with different KEYBOARDS, nothing helped. Finally MANAGED to get into BIOS setup, made no changes, LEFT setup with ESC and after that all seems to be working fine.I can honestly say i have never seen this error message in 20 + years of troubleshooting...took your advise and unplugged whith sytaartup window on. when PLUGGED back in it started normal. this was my daughters computer and it TURNS out it was the same model dell as yours. thanks for the helpNow that is a strange error a fuse in a keyboard??
