Solve : stimon error?

Answer»

after MUCH playing around with anti spyware and trojan hunters virus checking...

occasionally get error indicating stimon doesn't start right ....using win 98.   i remember having dealt with this a long time ago but i have forgotten how...i'm sure it's REALLY EASY if anyone remembersa program called "STIMON" which monitors the system for a scanner being activated.

To remove STIMON from startup:

Click Start > Settings > Taskbar&Startmenu.
Click Start Menu Programs.
Click the Advanced button.
Double-click Programs.
Double-click StartUp.
Highlight Watch and click EDIT then Cut.

To put an icon on the desktop so the program can be run LATER:

Right-click on the desktop.
Left-click Paste.
thanks, i knew it was something goofy.  makes sense cuz i removed some old programs that were related to an old scannerok..start menu doesn't show "watch" on list however stimon is in the disabled startup items.  checked the msconfig and the startup items list the still image monitor but it is not checked as being active...

any suggestionswhat items are ticked in msconfig?
