Answer» Hi all,
I have a IBM NetVista 8305 and all was well Until I was just browsing the internet and it just suddenly SHUT down and restarted, loaded but then restarted just before it got to the Windows XP LOGIN screen. I decided i should reinstall windows because of a virus or some error that could easily have been removed by formating/ The bootable CD i have for Windows XP is great, it is Windows XP SP3. I used that and all is well until it stops at pro_seg1.swf (about 44% i think) and i just push escape but it keeps on coming up with pro_seg2.swf Pro_seg3.swf and then goes to the BLUE screen of death and displays: 0x00000050 (0x8B3FIC94, 0X00000001, 0X8087ESAI, 0X00000000). Page fault in nonpaged area
I have seen the Microsoft stuff but it doesnt seem to help Could anyone give me a cause and a fix answer please. Any help/information would be helpful.
IBM NetVista 8305 512 MB DDR2 RAM 30GB Hardrive CD/DVD drive CD-RW drive No built in wifi Pentium 4 1.8GHzCourtesy of MSDN:
Quote 0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (Click to consult the online MSDN ARTICLE.) Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and ANTIVIRUS software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card). Use the GENERAL Troubleshooting of STOP Messages checklist above. DLoad and run MemTest...let it run for at least an hour....any errors at all means you have a bad stik of RAM and it should be replaced.
