Solve : stop and start a service using a bat file?

I am trying to figure how to create a BAT file that will stop a SERVICE, then create a backfile (which I know how to do, then restart the service. Looking for an EXAMPLE?Are you using Windows XP?

If so then,

sc stop

call backupStuff.bat

sc start
----
