Answer» Hello, I am having a problem with windows XP. When I turn on my PC I get Stop 0x000000ED(0x8239C900,0xx0000006,0x00000000,0x00000000) !!WHAT IS THIS!!. Thank you in advance for your help.What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, reinstallation of the OS, virus, error, etc)?Some windows files COULD be corrupted , after you installed a new program or delete some of them from mistake or even if you removed a program (i had this trouble with SQL SERVER 2005) , also could be the action of a virus. What i did was to go in Safe Mode and from there choose a system restore from most recently version that worked, and everything was again ok . Ignore the above post for the time being. Hi Allan , Please tell me why my post should be ignored, i guess that i give a QUICK solution for his problem. May be he even do not remember what he did last time when shut down the pc , or is just interested to be able to use the Windows again and how GOOD is the solution it does not matter , or may be never will be back in this post because already found a solution. I say this because i think that people (users) usually looks for quick solutions and they do not look for how "good" it is. (only those how afford this may be , usually very few of them ) Now i am going to sleep but tomorrow i will be online again (hope : ) ). Try a PS2 keyboard...power down before switching them out...You may have hard drive problem... Try a PS2 keyboard...power down before switching them out...You may have hard drive problem...
