Solve : strange MS RAMDISK problem?

Answer»

I have several laptops that I have installed MS RAMDISK on.  They all have had their floppy drive disabled and the RAMDRIVE is set to be the A:\  This works great on 16/20 of the computers, but on the other 4 I am having a problem.  When they boot up, instead of being a 5mb MS RAMDRIVE it simply says local disk A: with a whopping size of 0mb.  Here's the kicker though:  if I plug in a flash memory drive (thumb drive) the A:\ suddeny becomes a 5mb MS RAMDISK again.  All of these computers are the same model and loaded with the same norton GHOST image and have the same ramdrive driver installed.  I'm very confused by this.  Any ideas?

edit to add:

I have uninstalled and reinstalled this thing several TIMES.  Even TOOK one that had a working one and set it next to a non-working one and compared registries.  Also checked the ramdisk.inf to MAKE sure nothing was bugged.  I am running windows 2k on SP4.^^ bump
