am sure I have a virus that I cant remove...I had earlier today a message from my son on msn, he SENT me a picture..when I received it , it was a msdos icon and when I clicked on it I got to a web page that didnt open( not sure what web addy it was anymore ) well he told me he didnt send me anything.He was on my computer and I was on my wifes when this happened...now when I boot the computer I have a program called msmbw.exe that tries to start up when it starts. I cant remove it from my computer.My wifes computer now has a program called formatsys.exe starting and we also cant remove that from her computer...my brother came on msn when I was trying to figure this out and he ASKED me what picture I was trying to send him..Something I didnt send..he didnt accept it so I guess he is OK...I think this virus changes computers through msn looking like a picture someone is sending you. I have tried norton antivirus to get rid of it and it cant find it....I have gone to the location in my windows file and cant find it. I have tried to remove it with spy sweeper and it just reappears....not sure what to do...any ideas???

Try rebooting in Safe mode and then run Norton anti virus again .......
You say spysweeper finds it ........exactly what is it called and where does it say its residing ?
I can find no referance to the names you posted .......
could you have gotten them wrong ?

dl65  thanks for the help,,,,but norton antivirus decided to help me out today.,,.,,they detected it and updated the program and it deleted all the viruses
