Today I had the following message pop up on my computer,

The Windows vista HOME Premium product KEY you typed is INVALID for activation.
To activate Windows you will need to use the automated phone SYSTEM.
--> Use automated Phone System
--> Buy a new product key online
--> Type a different product key

I have had this computer for over a year now, so I don't know why it would be having trouble activating Windows now. I have never seen this before.

On the other hand, I did update some drivers today that may have caused some sort of problem. (I think they were my video card and hard drive drivers)

I immediately tried to update Windows thinking that if there was a problem with the legitimacy of my Windows version it wouldn't let me update, but I had no problem with the update.

I am a little paranoid that this may be some scam trying to get personal information from me, is there a way to tell if it is LEGIT or not?

Things like this happen, and I'm afraid, you'll have to call M$ line to resolve it.
