Hey, need some help with my comp , well basically i opened it today to clean some dust and stuff , then i closed it , and when i turned it ON it got stuck @ the windows welcome screen , tried to restart , didnt notice any weird sounds, loading was also as usual, any idea what should i do ? Ive already called someone to come and check it , but that is only gonna be in 2 WEEKS , i dont think theres anything that serious that i cant fix myself ..Try booting in safe mode.

1.) Restart machine
2.) While the machine is starting keep hitting the F8 key on your keyboard.
3.) This will bring up a list of options, choose Safe mode with networking.

Let us know if you can get that far.okay , i did exactly as you SAID , but after it load the .sys files , it stuck at the blue creenMaybe you didn't ground yourself when you opened the case and STATIC electricity could have ruined something.
Perhaps the mobo, RAM or even the HD.

You can test the RAM at the boot by disabling the quick POST in your bios.im not so well with computers tbh , how do i disable the quick POST in my bios ?Just WATCH your screen while booting. It's usually the DELETE button.thanks dave , well the RAM is fine .. checked all the connections inside?

maybe a connector got loose?
