Solve : switching users? |
|
Answer» the switch user thing doesn't work on XP, even when i enable it in the contol panel>user SETTINGS. when i try pressing window Key+L it just LOCKS the computer. to switch users you have to log off each one to go onto another. i'm running XP home SP2 with 2.2 ghz celeron and 512 RAMWindows key+L always locks the computer doesn't switch users. Not according to Microsoft: NOTE: The keyboard shortcut Windows logo key+L can also be used to switch users.http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=279782Ok, I take back. No need really - I was toying with you. The Winlogo key + L will lock the computer on a single user system. Soviet Genius, are the necessary services running (Fast User & Terminal)? If they are, does Event Viewer give any clues?there are two users and i have no idea if whaa things are running :-/ also its not actually mine its my friend's compEnter services.msc in the START>Run box and set both services to Start and Automatic.Just a quickie:- if winlogo+l locks pc. What unlocks it?I NEVER use the Windows + L key....it only takes 2 seconds longer to press Start -> LOGOFF -> switch users :-/ |
