Answer» The other day, I found a very OLD video game that I used to play when I was younger, back when everyone was using Windows 95. Trying my luck, I tried to install it, but I GOT an error message that said:
16-bit MS DOS Subsystem
D:\INSTALL.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running Ms-Dos and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'CLOSE' to terminate the application.
The game requires:
486DX or higher DOS 5.0 or Windows 95 8MB/16MB of RAM SVGA card etc etc.
I'm using Windows XP of course. I'm pretty much TECHNOLOGICALLY tarded, but can anyone tell me if there is still hope of playing this thing again or should I give up hope?? I hope this isn't in the wrong PLACE either.
Thank you very much = =|||
I've not tried to run a dos game on XP for a good few years now, but from what I remember, trying to get them to run was close to impossible and when they did it didn't run properly.
May have just been me of course, but I stopped even trying after a while.Try DOSBOX
