Don't know what new information I can provide. I'm using an old PC to correspond-- seems 100 years old an hope it lasts long enough to SEE if you can help diagnose a vista blue screen of death?  Thanks Tom Post the entire BSOD message incling the gibberish.....Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next replyI just posted a reply from patios request.  I hope thqt helps.

Note; I'm unable to use the PC in question.  It is locked up in the 'Strat Up Repair' mode.  I'm using a very old closet PC that I have leftover to communicate with you.

Having said that, how do I accomodate your request?

Thanks again.Do you have a Vista cd you can boot to? If so, do so and choose the startup repair mode from the cd.

What is new or different since the last TIME everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, ETC)?I see that this old PC i'm using timed out or something and didn't tranmitt my last post to Patios request to resend the entire BSOD message.  I'll try again as well as search for Vista OS disk that came with the system.

I'll report back.To Patio, this is the entire text from start up repair:

I was not allowed into safe mode.  Start up repair recommended I send test results to MS and take suggestions for a repair.  That was mute.  My only option is to ask for help now sending the full text of test results.  Hope it helps.  To Allen.

Still looking for original o/s disk.  I know I have it; just need to find the right box.

Thanks for all your help.

TI found the o/s *censored*.

But before I inserted disk, I just tried to DISCONNECT and reconnect every terminal I could reach in the tower.  I did ground myself.

The PC doesn't want to start.  The monitor briefly shows its going into power save mode and of course the PC does.  It no longer goes into startup repair.

For what its worth.... All three fans are running as well as I can tell the HD is spinning.

If there are no more ideas I guess we should close this thread.

Thanks
