Solve : System Protection not creating restore points?

Answer»

Hi.
About three weeks ago I got a 2 TB hard drive. I used EaseUS partition master to cloan my old hard drive which was 320 GB. EaseUS copied the partitions on my old hard drive exactly like it was. So I resized my 298 GB partition to 800 GB. So Until now I've noticed that System Protection is not creating restore points.
I looked at system protection in system property's and found A previous partition called Windows 7 but it said "(missing)" after the name. It was enabled.

What I tried:
I enabled the system partition which was disabled
I tried to change the size on the how much space can restore points USE because it is on 0%. But I got the error (see attached picture below)
I ran SFC /scanno And found no problems.
Any thing else I can try, I don't want to reformat And start from scratch.

Thanks,
Carlos

[year+ old attachment deleted by admin]I'm not a fan of system restore. Sure, it's great when it works, but too often it fails when you need it most. Personally, I disable it on all systems and I always recommend that ALL users should use Disc Imaging software on a regular basis.I don't use it much, because I use comodo backup to make a partition image of my c: drive. I guess I'll leave it disabled.

Carlospersonally i use a great little program called macrium reflect, which is drive imaging software that works like a back-up partition in a factory PC. I simply create a rescue Cd. create my clone using an external drive, when i need it i boot off the Cd retrieve my clone and it does the rest. You can GET a freeware VERSION which has a few features turned off, or pay for the full version. I personally use the freeware cause i DONT need nothing fancy but here have yourself a look. i LOVE it.....
