Answer» A couple DAYS ago Mcafee detected the New Win32 virus in my computer. I go into panic mode and end up downloading AVG and try to get rid of the virus. So after messing around and getting rid of my system restore checkpoints by accident my sound drivers, internet and various other programs are corrupted.
So I decide the only thing to do is the perform a full system Recovery.
I insert the Microsoft Operating System Disc(for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005) to essentially reset the computer to it's factory shipped settings. The System Recovery program reads the disc; copies the data and files from the disc; and reformats the harddrives while deleting all of the STUFF that did not come with the computer(like my games, music, pictures, etc.)
So after all that is done, the System Recovery gives the button to restart the computer and I restart it. However, once it GETS to the a blue screen with some words about Windows beginning set up and asking me to wait, the computer just restarts...before it can get anywhere. After it restarts, it restarts again, just as the monitor shows the Windows XP icon with the LOADING bar at the bottom and keeps on restarting from there.
Any help? My computer is a GT5O082 MODEL desktop from Gateway. The OS is windows XP. bump for help.
