Solve : System Restore, can't run it? |
|
Answer» I had a problem with my Internet Service Provider's program in that it would START up then freeze, using 100% of my CPU capacity. Installing a new version of the APP produced the same result. I decided to restore my system to an earlier date by clicking on "Properties", but when I TRIED I got this message, " Run a dll as an app has encountered a problem and NEEDS to close." I then tried through Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and when I clicked on "System Restore" I got the message, "System Restore has encountered a problem and needs to close." Windows does not seem to be able to find rundll.exe or rstrui.exe. I only have the OEM restore CD, and really am not looking to reinstalling all of the files on my Hard drive. Any suggestions?what o/s have you got?? trojan scan run it!!Who is the manufacturer of your system? Have you enabled system restore? |
